Abstract
A case of severe colitis, which developed in a patient with rheumatoid arthritis after administration of sodium aurothiomalate, is reported. Early recognition of this rare, but potentially fatal, complication is essential. Rectal biopsy should be performed as part of the early assessment.Entities:
