A new trick for end-to-end anastomosis in microvascular surgery. Modified Harashina procedure.

G Foucher, F Schuind.

Abstract

To avoid inadvertant anteroposterior wall suture in microvascular anastomosis, we propose a modification of the Harashina technique. Instead of using an untied zenith anterior suture, we suggest leaving the needle in place before inserting the seventh and eighth stitches.
