Abstract
Since its introduction some years ago continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) has proved to be a valuable alternative to haemodialysis in the treatment of uraemia. Factors contributing to the transport of solutes through the peritoneal membrane are discussed and the literature concerning the pharmacokinetic aspects of CAPD is reviewed.Mesh:
