The measurement of pregnancy specific beta1-glycoprotein by electroimmunodiffusion.

D Bruce, A Klopper.

Abstract

A method is described for measuring the concentration of a specific glycoprotein secreted by the placenta into the maternal circulation, by electrophoresis, in antibody-containing agarose ("rocket" technique). The concentration of the protein can be measured from 10 weeks of pregnancy to term.
