Streptococcal osteomyelitis associated with varicella virus infection: a case report and review of the literature.

Abstract

A case in a child with varicella associated with osteomyelitis caused by Streptococcus hemolyticus group B is reported. The complication of bacterial osteomyelitis in varicella is rare, and only three cases have been reported in the English literature.
