Abstract

Eosinophilic spongiosis is accepted as one of the histopathological features of pemphigus. We found eosinophilic spongiosis in six (24%) of 25 patients in whom erythematous lesions, which were in the vicinity of blisters of bullous pemphigoid, were found. This finding was associated with eosinophilic infiltration of the upper dermis and peripheral eosinophilia.
