Abstract
An immunoelectron microscopic method is described for rapid detection and identification of plant viruses in leaf-dip preparations by specific labelling with gold-IgG complexes. The process takes only 10 min and markedly improves the identification of viruses, particularly spherical ones including luteoviruses in leaf dips over simple antibody decoration.Mesh:
