Abstract
A 70-year-old female presented with a generalized allergic reaction to heterologous insulin. Subsequent epicutaneous testing to human insulin (Humulin) evoked a large wheal and flare reaction and generalized pruritus. The institution of human insulin therapy in patients allergic to heterologous insulin may cause further allergic reactions.Entities:
