Immunoperoxidase staining of leptospires in blood and urine.

W J Terpstra, J Jabboury-Postema, H Korver.

Abstract

Immunoperoxidase staining of leptospires is a relatively simple method giving satisfactory results. Leptospires can be identified by the specificity of the serological reaction and by their characteristic morphology. The method could contribute to a rapid diagnosis by the direct demonstration of leptospires in clinical specimens.
