Abstract
Anaerobic growth on glucose significantly protected Escherichia coli from growth inhibition by thioglycerol. Methionine and anaerobiosis completely overcame growth inhibition by 2 to 90 mM thioglycerol. The respiration of aerobically growing cells was partially inhibited by 20 to 90 mM thioglycerol.Entities:
