Sonographic features of bowel perforation and calcific meconium peritonitis in utero.

Abstract

The prenatal diagnosis of fetal bowel obstruction with perforation and meconium peritonitis is described. Characteristic ultrasound findings include polyhydramnios, fetal ascites, and echogenic calcific foci with acoustical shadowing.
