Conversion of glucose of lactate by intraerythrocytic Plasmodium berghei.

There have been many reports that intraerythrocytic Plasmodium berghei does not metabolize glucose completely to lactate. However, it appears that in some circumstances there can be interference with the assay of lactate. Correction by a dilution method suggests that in reality conversion is essentially complete.
