Abstract
The fungistatic drugs econazole, miconazole and clotrimazole were investigated as to mutagenic properties in the fluctuation test with Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli K12 as test organisms and in the plate-incorporation test, with and without metabolic activation, with Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98 and TA100. No mutagenic activity of the 3 compounds on these microorganisms was found.Entities:
