Abstract
In 72 workers having occupational contact with benzene, toluene or xylene during 31 to 122 months, the T lymphocyte functions were evaluated. Workers after a service of 55-122 months showed a decreased T lymphocyte count without, however, alterations in their functions. No clinical signs of diminished immunological reactivity were noted in the subjects studied. The E rosette test is of importance in the evaluation of early effects on the lymphocyte system of the toxic action of benzene and its homologues.Entities:
