Abstract
RP4-mediated conjugation was used to map the loci of 23 different mutations on a circular linkage group in Acinetobacter calcoaceticus EBF65/65. The resulting genetic map indicated that the chromosomal organization of A. calcoaceticus differed from that of members of the enteric group of bacteria and was similar to Pseudomonas in showing an absence of clustering of functionally related genes.Entities:
