Intracellular Cl- activity of canine submandibular gland cells: an in vitro observation.

H Mori, M Murakami, T Nakahari, Y Imai.

Abstract

Intracellular Cl- activity (aiCl) and transmembrane potential (delta psi m) of canine submandibular gland cells were measured in vitro by using Cl- sensitive liquid membrane microelectrodes. Under the conditions of superfusion with a control solution, average Cl- activity of the resting cells was slightly higher than those predicted from Nernstian equilibrium.
