Abstract
Substituted methylene diphosphonates are effective inhibitors of the RNA polymerase of influenza A virus causing 50% inhibition of the polymerase activity when they are present in the concentration range 10-85 microM. The inhibitory power of the methylene diphosphonates appears to be related to their ability to chelate with metal ions.Entities:
