Identification of an insertion sequence in the chromosome of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO.

J H Nash, V Krishnapillai.

Abstract

An insertion sequence, IS22, in Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO was identified by its genetic properties. It occurred as a single copy in the chromosome, as shown by Southern hybridization. A restriction map of it was constructed.
