Abstract
This case of S aureus sternal osteomyelitis occurring at the site of bone marrow aspiration in a 24 year-old man illustrates the potential for infection that complicates any clinical procedure, even those considered to have a very minimal risk of infection. The patient recovered uneventfully after antibiotic therapy with nafcillin administered intravenously, followed by dicloxacillin taken orally.Entities:
