Abstract
The contradictory data obtained in studies of type 1b glycogenosis would be explained by an anomeric preference for the capture of glucose-6-phosphate by hepatic microsomes. The alpha anomers of hexoses would be utilized preferentially by glycogenolysis and gluconeogenesis, while the beta anomers of hexoses would be preferentially utilized for glycolysis.Entities:
