Abstract
Malignant fibrous histiocytoma (MFH) is a recently defined, well established clinical and pathologic entity. Five patients with MFH who had gallium-67 scans are described. An attempt is made to correlate the presence, absence, and extent of disease, as both primary and metastatic deposits showed avidity for gallium-67. After excision, patients with negative gallium scans were well, while metastatic disease was shown by gallium scans in two patients shortly before death. Gallium scanning is advocated for initial evaluation and follow-up of patients with MFH.Entities:
