The skin incision in the excision of the prepatellar bursa.

Abstract

Commonly used incisions to remove a prepatellar bursa in patients with bursitis are often ill placed and give rise to unnecessary morbidity, such as tender or contracted scars or areas of anesthesia or hyperesthesia in pressure-bearing areas.
