Abstract
An elastic protein, connectin, was prepared from carp skeletal muscle by the alkaline method with some modifications; collagen contaminations were exhaustively extracted with 1 N acetic acid and hot phenol treatment was omitted. This connectin preparation contained a considerable amount of tryptophan, but almost completely lacked hydroxyproline.Entities:
