Abstract
Krukenberg carcinoma of the ovary accounts for 1 to 3% of ovarian neoplasms. The nature and behavior of this particularly virulent tumor remain unclear. In this paper, 2 cases are presented of Krukenberg carcinoma metastatic from the gastrointestinal tract; in both bone marrow involvement was detected early in the course of the disease. The histopathology of the tumor is described. A comprehensive review of the literature in English is provided, and therapeutic approaches to the disease are discussed.Entities:
