Purification and properties of alpha-l-arabinofuranosidase from plant Scopolia japonica calluses.

M Tanaka, T Uchida.

Abstract

alpha-L-Arabinofuranosidase (alpha-L-arabinofuranoside arabinofuranohydrolase, EC 3.2.1.55) from the culture medium of Scopolia japonica calluses was partially purified. Various properties of the enzyme were studied and the effects of lactones on the activity were determined.
