Subclavian steal: treatment with percutaneous transluminal angioplasty.

W J Bean, B A Rodan, D A Franqui.

Abstract

Three cases of subclavian steal were treated with percutaneous transluminal angioplasty of the subclavian stenosis. One patient had dilatation of the lesion three separate times, without CNS complications. Initial screening with continuous wave Doppler ultrasound proved successful in identifying patients with the subclavian steal phenomenon and any associated carotid disease.
