Abstract
Closed suprapubic cystostomy is an expeditious procedure for a variety of clinical conditions requiring urinary drainage. Its benignity is reflected by a low complication rate of 1.6 per cent and no deaths in this series of 244 consecutive patients. Nevertheless, major complications can occur if proper technique is not adhered to or contraindications are not observed.Entities:
