Abstract
Hypokalemic paralysis and/or arrhythmia must be treated cautiously and replacement therapy given slowly. The differential diagnosis should include familial periodic paralysis, an autosomal dominant disorder, which may present as hypokalemia, normokalemia, or hyperkalemia.Entities:
