Abstract
Two patients developed choroidovitreal neovascularization subsequent to intense, repeated photocoagulation of a choroidal melanoma. Scatter photocoagulation to the ischemic zone of peripheral retina resulted in prompt, sustained regression of the new vessels. Scatter photocoagulation should be considered as a therapeutic alternative to focal ablative photocoagulation for patients who develop choroidovitreal neovascularization.Entities:
