[Prospects for the application and basic research on small regulatory peptides].

Specific properties of regulatory peptides, limiting their practical use and possibilities for avoiding these limitations are discussed. The level of knowledge on specific groups of regulatory peptides, actively investigated in our country, and application of these data for practical purposes are considered.
