[Conservative therapy of female stress incontinence. Double-blind study with the alpha-sympathomimetic midodrin].

Abstract

Midodrine, an alpha-adrenergic agent, was tested in a double-blind randomized fashion in 50 female patients suffering from stress incontinence. 61,5% of the patients receiving midodrine became completely continent, 23,1% improved and 15,4% were considered failure. The results obtained, have been statistically significant.
