Postembolization splenic abscess in a patient with pancreatitis and splenic vein thrombosis.

Abstract

We have reported a splenic abscess resulting from embolization of the splenic artery with coils. The embolization was done as treatment for portal hypertension caused by splenic vein thrombosis from pancreatitis.
