Carotidynia: report of eight cases and prospective evaluation of therapy.

Abstract

The essential clinical features of eight cases of carotidynia are outlined. As little is known about treatment, the effectiveness was evaluated of drugs used in some specific forms of vascular headache with similar pain characteristics. Indomethacin or flurbiprofen were shown to be potent drugs in the treatment of carotidynia.
