Exocrine pancreas: difference in the amylase content of the dorsal and ventral regions.

Abstract

The amylase content of the acinar tissue is higher in the splenic region of the rat pancreas containing glucagon-rich islets than in the duodenal region harboring pancreatic polypeptide-rich islets.
