Abstract
The risk of pregnancy was evaluated in 31 patients with mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD), 31 patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and 51 controls. The fertility rates in MCTD and SLE were unaltered by disease; however, parity was decreased and fetal wastage was increased both before and even more so after onset. It is our observation that pregnancy carries the same risks in MCTD as it does in SLE.Entities:
