Abstract
Phosphatidic acid produces a selective, dose-dependent release of histamine from rat peritoneal mast cells. The effect is independent of exogenous calcium and probably reflects mobilization of sequestered stores of the cation. The significance of these results is discussed in terms of the possible changes in membrane lipid metabolism involved in mast cell activation.Entities:
