Carcinoma of the breast in a pacemaker pocket--simple recurrence or oncotaxis?

Abstract

An 89-year-old female developed recurrent carcinoma of the breast in a pacemaker generator pocket. This is the fourth reported case of the occurrence of tumor in relation to a pacemaker and serves as a stimulus to review possible cause and effect relationships.
