Rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis and possible amyloidosis.

B J Panner.

Abstract

In two patients with crescentic glomerulonephritis, coexistence of amyloidosis was considered. In one, electron microscopy failed to show amyloid fibrils despite positive staining and history suggestive of amyloidosis. Glomeruli of the second patient contained amyloid-like fibrils in absence of clinical amyloidosis and with only equivocal or negative stains.
