Abstract
A possible route of metabolism of beta-adrenoceptor stimulating drugs used in obstetrics consists of conjugation by the enzyme phenol sulphotransferase. The substrate specificities of the platelet and the placental enzymes towards these drugs were tested. The specific activities of the beta-adrenoceptor agonists were found to be relatively similar to those obtained with the catecholamine dopamine but their Km values were considerably higher.Entities:
