Abstract
Necrotising arteritis was found in the spinal arterial branches of the lumbar spinal cord and in skeletal muscles, bones, peripheral nerves, and most viscera, except lungs and brain, of a 41-year-old female who died after a protracted illness finally characterized by severe paralysis due to progressive peripheral neuropathy. Spinal cord vascular involvement in polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) is rarely reported despite the high incidence of neurological complications of this disease.Entities:
