Abstract
Surgery of acromioclavicular luxations and lateral fractures of the clavicula with the Balser plate is described as a reliable low-complication method on the basis of the authors' own experiences in 13 patients. This treatment method offers significant advantages over the other conventional methods of surgery. Early mobilization of the patients is possible if exercise stability is present. Costly and complicated immobilization can be omitted, and so can reconstruction of the coracoclavicular ligaments or syndesmoplasty. The period of disability is shortened.Entities:
