Abstract
A sensitive radioimmunological assay (RIA) was introduced for detection of measles virus IgG and IgM antibodies. The hyperimmune response to measles virus could be demonstrated more precisely by RIA than by haemagglutination inhibition (HI). The ratio between RIA and HI antibody titres was decidedly higher in sera and cerebrospinal fluids (CSF) of patients with subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) than in those of other groups tested.Entities:
