Abstract
This is a single-case report of the syndrome of Tourette's disorder (GTS) and infantile autism (IA) occurring together. Neuroleptics were not administered prior to the onset of GTS. The heuristic value of comparing the different biochemical mechanisms of the syndromes and its implication for diagnosis and etiology is discussed. Norepinephrine is thought to be at least one transmitter that differentiates the syndromes.Entities:
