Abstract
A case of external ophthalmomyiasis by Oestrus ovis is recorded from Provence-Côte-d'Azur (France). The patient has been constaminated on the Nice beach far away from the breeding areas of sheep and goats which are the usual host of this fly. One larva specimen, which was found in the patient's eye, is described and compared to the larva of Rhinoestrus purpureus, another agent of external human ophthalmomyiasis.Entities:
