[Maisonneuve's fracture (author's transl)].

The so called "Maisonneuve fracture" as a special type of Weber C fractures of the upper ankle joint is presented. Problems of diagnosis and operative treatment are thoroughly investigated. The own proceedings as well as the follow-up-examination of 12 patients are discussed.
