Abstract
It was intended to get some detailed informations on the need of organized non-institutional help of old people living in the community. A random sample of 270 persons, 70 years of age and over, living in Stuttgart was asked (standardized questionnaire). This report only deals with one part of the study: the household maintenance. The following aspects were studied: --the old peoples's (resp. all old household members') capability to manage their household tasks --what and how much do others than household members for the old peoples's household and who are the helpers --the old people's problems with home management tasks and need, resp. wish, for help --information on existing social services.Entities:
