[Puerperal psychoses].

80 cases of patients whose first mental derangement was a puerperal psychosis were examined. Different clinical aspects of these kind of illnesses are analysed and discussed. It has been proven that acute delirious primiparae delivered significantly more male infants. The fact that many of these 80 patients were admitted to hospital together with their newborn infant, is another interesting factor in the analyses of these cases.
