Abstract
A questionnaire survey was conducted in order to establish how obstetricians in this country manage preterm labour. The results indicate that the majority of obstetricians would use beta sympathomimetic agents to inhibit premature labour; most would use corticosteroids in some circumstances to accelerate pulmonary surfactant production, while the use of prophylactic antibiotics seemed variable. The findings and implications of the survey are discussed.Mesh:
