Abstract
80 children who had been abused by their parents or caretakers were examined for separation experience early in life and for other stress factors within their families. Although early separation of parent and infant was common in abusing families, combinations of other stresses and conflicts were also present. These were considered to have predisposed towards the battering.Entities:
