Abstract

After oral administration of 100 mg ranitidine a clear increase of intragastric pH values of just over 9 hours was observed in six patients. In four healthy probands inhibition of basal secretion was still demonstrable after 9 1/2 hours following ingestion of 150 mg ranitidine.
